Marketing Assistant (Federal Government)
We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Marketing Assistant with a minimum 3-5 years’ account management experience and a proven track record supporting and managing federal government accounts. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating marketing and communications initiatives, navigating government stakeholder environments, and delivering exceptional client service that drives measurable outcomes.

This role requires a proactive professional who can effectively balance multiple priorities, build strong client relationships, and support the execution of strategic marketing initiatives for federal agencies and government-focused programs. To be considered, you must be a U.S. citizen, able to pass a background check for security clearance, and available to work on-site in Washington, DC.

Job Duties / Responsibilities: 
  • Support the planning, execution, and tracking of integrated marketing and communications campaigns for federal clients.
  • Serve as a trusted liaison between clients, internal teams, and external partners, ensuring seamless communication and project execution.
  • Manage day-to-day account activities, timelines, deliverables, and reporting for government-focused marketing programs.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement efforts across multiple levels of government and organizational leadership.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, meeting agendas, and client presentations.
  • Assist with content development, marketing collateral, email campaigns, event support, and digital marketing initiatives.
  • Support the preparation and submission of campaign reporting deliverables that communicate campaign performance, effectiveness, and ROI to client stakeholders.
  • Ensure all deliverables meet client requirements, quality standards, and government communication guidelines.
  • Identify opportunities to improve client satisfaction, operational efficiencies, and overall program performance.
Skills & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • A minimum 3-5 years’ account management experience, preferably within a marketing, communications, client services, or agency environment.
  • Demonstrated experience managing and supporting federal government accounts.
  • Proven ability to navigate government stakeholder environments and build productive relationships with diverse audiences.
  • Strong client service orientation with a track record of delivering high-quality results and exceeding client expectations.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Teams.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience supporting federal agencies, government contractors, or public sector communications initiatives is preferred.
  • Experience with project management platforms or similar tools a plus.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing platforms, CRM systems, and marketing automation tools preferred.
  • Understanding of federal procurement, contract environments, and government communication standards an asset.
  • PMP, CAPM, or related project management certification is preferred.
  • Active Public Trust or Security Clearance a plus.
Compensation: $65,000.00 - $73,000.00 per year
